Montcalm Technical Study

Back

Set behind a restored Grade II–listed crescent in Marylebone, the Montcalm Mayfair delivers 151 guestrooms and a suite of contemporary amenities within a highly intricate heritage setting. Spanning 2017 to 2025, the work required navigating 250 years of architectural change, including post-war reconstruction and a 1970s rear extension.

This technical study examines the challenges of working within such a constrained and historically layered site, highlighting the collaborative design process that underpinned the project and the regenerative principles that informed its development.
